David Cordero is applying the bioinformatics, biostatistics and systems biology methodologies to improve the cancer research. During the last years he was involved in various colorectal cancer projects analyzing the data from microarrays and NGS techniques. His work focuses on finding the new biomarkers for an early diagnosis as well as for better classification and therapy of the cancer disease. He believes that the power of high performance computing techniques and the big data management in genomics will be helpful to study such a heterogeneous and complex disease as cancer from a new viewpoint.
